Mar 30 You Shall Take a Fixed Salary. It says: You shall take a fixed salary from your business each month. Let’s get real – if you aren’t being paid for your work, you don’t have a business you have a nice hobby. You should be paid a salary to run your business, that salary is part of your overhead expense. 2) Are you paying your spouse for his or her work in your business? 4) You should figure that a normal workweek for a business owner is about 50 hours a week. More from less: Hourly or “value” pricing On one level, I feel the “ouch as our business continues to earn 99 per cent of its revenue from advertising sales — but I appreciate the fact that delivering real value to our advertisers is far more than the ink on paper (or pixels on the website) — in part, it is in delivering enough supplementary resources to ensure that the advertising dollars prove to be an effective investment; and free, practical and effective marketing consulting certainly meets that standard. It is also one which I discover is one of the most humbling aspects of business ownership.
