Owners almost always believe that LEED Certification is a product that you can purchase at a price. Reading the article gave me an up to date perspective from insurers who have been faced with the daunting, and seemingly impracticable task of finding a way to insure against the risk of non-certification. On Friday, I published a brief article about the USGBC’s new LEED registration and certification agreements. The Certification Agreement and Registration Agreement were published on January 11, 2011. Removal of IP regulations – these have been moved to the certification manual, for the most part. Contracts are enforced. Welcome to Operations and Maintenance Certification. The USGBC formally announced its Operations and Maintenance certification for LEED Volume users, earlier this week. The new program allows businesses with a high volume of buildings to streamline and simplify LEED certification for their new and existing buildings.
