recently spoke to a $25M contractor making custom doors using a manufacturing bill of materials and design program for managing the purchasing and inventory control of their construction division. It was probably purchased for their millwork operation initially to help with quotes and assemblies. What they really need is a true construction program for the construction door installation part of their business and a separate manufacturing job shop program for the millwork operation and do arms length transactions between the two for selling the doors to the contractor.
