Train4TradeSkills News: Apprenticeships the way forward for Scottish construction firms
The Scottish government are reportedly set to only award new construction work to companies who promise that they will invest in training and take on new apprentices. This would be great news for contractors in Scotland, and would give trainees the opportunity to work, gain new skills and get valuable experience working as plumbers, electricians, builders or in the trades as apprentices. The Scottish Building Federation is recognising training and will make it a key criteria when awarding public sector contracts.

The construction industry reached a five-month high in October, according to the Markit/CIPS UK Construction PMI, where orders and activity grew significantly compared to the previous months.
