What young people don’t realize is that a plumber or journeyman electrician makes more than 4-year college graduates and they don’t have all those student loans to pay off. There’s a lot of talk about manufacturing jobs continuing to go away in this country. But when I talk to manufacturers, one of the biggest issues they talk about domestically is finding qualified help. In the Commercial Property arena, there is a little known tool called a ‘Deduct Water Meter’ (or Sub-Meter ), that can save property owners lots of money in the right circumstances. We all know that standard water meters measure the amount of water that enters the property, delivered by the water utility at the street. Many people don’t ever think of cleaning the garbage disposer, and then wonder why that side of the sink often smells so sour. Now that I’m in the Plumbing / Heating / Cooling business, I have a new saying this time of year, “Spring Into Maintenance”. can tell you from experience it’s well worth remembering. Many of us have a tough time doing or even ‘embracing’ the importance of regular maintenance because we just don’t know what is needed. Either make the investment, or pay for not knowing. MORE >>
