Are Davis-Bacon wages as outdated as this $2 bill? General Accountability Office has issued a new report that calls into question the methodology used by the Department of Labor (DOL) to set federal prevailing wages. The GAO’s most recent report provides that the DOL has lazily relied upon an outdated methodology that uses unrealistic samples to set wage rates. Step 2:  Productivity Check (Field Labor Ratio). Next, check your field labor ratio.  This number is your Field Labor Wages divided by your Invoiced Sales.  If you’re comparing it to your budget, just include wage costs – not the costs of labor burden (payroll taxes, safety insurance, etc.). With the relatively high wages and the enjoyment of building things in the construction industry, I’ve always wondered why more woman don’t participate. compared to $1.00 for men. However, there are some exceptions. recent Forbes article titled 15 Jobs Where Women Earn More than Men listed Construction Supervisor.
