As the instructor Joseph Goldenberg explained, today’s skilled factory worker is really a hybrid of an old-school machinist and a computer programmer. A couple of weeks ago I watched a 60 Minutes segment on the "problems" employers are having finding trained and work-ready employees for the jobs they have available. They profiled a company in Las Vegas that was having problems finding those workers with the skill sets necessary.
