Already, New York City cabbies are considering adoption and the Canada Post has added a few of these electric vans to their fleet. The long awaited Ford Transit Connect Electric is making waves as it begins hitting North American markets. Metro Edmonton reporter Jil McIntosh took one of these compact and environmentally friendly little vans for a spin on a closed course at Toronto’s Exhibition Place and concluded that “the truck has more than enough pep to handle daily traffic.&# But the cost of gasoline’s not exactly on the decline either. Starting in 2013, the NV200 will be thrown into another kind of service: New York’s taxi system. In May, the New York City announced that the NV200 would be the “Taxi of Tomorrow,” replacing the iconic Crown Victoria’s that ply the streets of Manhattan and the outer boroughs. On Friday I happened to be in a little place called New York City.  On Thursday, on my way to New York, I was listing to some conservative talk radio.  While there, I happened to stroll through a particular street you may have heard of once or twice before – Wall Street. .  .
