Its really not the teachers you see who are the bogeymen here its the Union and that is again what this about Union membership and all that it entails But that aside, the real attack on Educators turned the tide in Wisconsin. The history of Unions and even Social Security has its foundations ironically in Wisconsin with the then Governor and Republican, Robert La Follette. It was at the University of Wisconsin the Social Security program was designed and its also in Wisconsin another who cited Unions as the threat to American security, Joseph McCarthy, came of age.
